Thomas “Tom” James Beaven, age 74, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on Monday, September 14th, 2020 at West Hills Hospital in West Hills, California.
Tom was born in Illinois on Saturday, September 29th, 1945, to Mary Phelan from California and Robert Beaven from Illinois. Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree and worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 50 years. He is married to his loving wife, Constance “Connie” Beaven.
Tom is survived by his wife, Connie Beaven; daughters Kristin (Zach) Michel and Kayla Beaven; sons Scott (Melissa) Hornback, Todd (Shelly) Hornback; granddaughter Riley; grandsons Ryan, Tryndon and Trevin, Cheyne and Willem (Tom joined Willem in his eternal home); brother Fr. Robert Beaven; sisters Kathy (Keith) Amundson, Barbara Beaven, Mary (Barney) McHugh Wald, “Peggy Ann” Margaret Beaven (Tom also joined Peggy Ann in her eternal home); and other loving extended family members.
A Catholic Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. The family is asking family and guests to arrive at 11:00 a.m. for a short visitation until the time of service. The service will be held at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, 2636 Sycamore Dr, Simi Valley, California, 93065. Tom’s brother, Father Robert Beaven, will be officiating the service. The service will be held outside under shaded area. Due to strict restrictions from the health department, guests are required to practice social distancing and wear facial coverings. The funeral home will provide a facial mask and hand sanitizer upon your request.
The burial will be scheduled at a later date and will take place at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 1380 Fitzgerald Rd, Simi Valley, California, 93065.
