Maurice "Bo" Edward Williams

Maurice "Bo" Williams passed away at Vista at Simi Valley on the afternoon of February 11, 2024 while receiving hospice care for Cancer. He was 88 years old. 

Maurice was born in Missouri to Bobby Stroop and Maurice G Williams on June 30, 1935. He earned his masters in Geology at the University of Arkansas. This took him to Texas where he worked in the oil industry. When he moved to California he became a teacher. Teaching was a great fit for him. During the next 30 years he showed kids the marvels of science, while developing lifelong friendships with co-workers and students. 

Bo was passionate about sports. He played baseball while serving in the Air Force. Later he fell in love with golf, even becoming a golf coach at Cal Lutheran. After retiring his clubs he found a new passion in photography. 

Bo is preceded in death by his wife Rita. He is survived by his sister Claudia, his children Kristi, Eric, Cheryl, and Leslie, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A service will be held at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home - 2636 Sycamore Dr. Simi Valley, CA 93065 - on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
