Joseph “Joe” M. Trematore
We are saddened by the loss of Joseph “Joe” M. Trematore on July 24, 2021. He died peacefully at home in Simi Valley, California.
He was born on November 2, 1937 to Joseph and Marie Trematore in Worcester, Mass. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ginger; identical twin brother, Joel; four children, Teresa, Mickey, Kathy, and Joe Jr.; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957. He lived in the community of Simi Valley for over 50 years. He belonged to the parish of St. Rose of Lima and was a member of the Knights of Columbus #5803 for many years.
Joe was very active in the community and helped with food drives for the Boy Scouts and the Post Office. He also packed up food for the homeless throughout Ventura County. Joe was a very loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend.
A visitation with viewing will be held from 5 – 9 p.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home on Sunday August 1, with a Rosary prayer service at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day on August 2, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church – 1305 Royal Ave. Simi Valley, CA. Burial will follow the mass at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
