Elena De Fazio

Passed away at the age of 90 at her home in the San Fernando Valley. Elena is survived by her husband of 68 years Paul; her sons Fred, Tom, Jim and John; her daughters-in-law Shirley, Connie, Mary and Francene; her grandchildren Amy, Lisa, Danielle, Karen, Matthew, Jennifer and Kellie and her great grandchildren Emma, Nathan, Sean, Travis, Lea and Ria.
Elena was born in Cleveland Ohio, the daughter of Italian immigrants Giuseppie and Vicenza Barrese and moved to Southern California as a young girl. She enjoyed dancing with her husband Paul and together with him was active in several Italian- American clubs in the San Fernando Valley.
Elena had a long family- filled life as matriarch of the De Fazio family and passed a treasure load of Italian traditions to her children. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home 2636 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley at 11:00 a.m. Viewing at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Simi Valley.
