Bryan Don Lackie gained his angel wings on February 7, 2021. He lived an adventurous 57 years. His final days were spent at a post-acute rehabilitation center in Santa Monica, recovering from a motorcycle accident he experienced on September 30, 2020 that left him paralyzed. Bryan was determined to fight for his physical recovery and his disposition was extremely optimistic. His passing was a huge shock to his family. Bryan was slowly moving forward and had overcame so many medical obstacles.
Bryan was born May 31, 1963 in West Hills, California to Sandra and Don Lackie. He lived in Ventura County for 20 years where he attended Royal High School In Simi Valley. Bryan was a resident of Chatsworth CA, for over 24 years. Bryan's occupation and talents were designing and installing custom cabinets, he was a master finish carpenter.
Bryan was an avid wake boarder and loved motorcycles. He lived life to the fullest and had an amazing spiritual outlook. Bryan loved his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Bryan passed away with over 12 years of sobriety and was a great example to the program of AA. He leaves behind a plethora of family and friends that loved him dearly.
Bryan is survived by his father Don Lackie; step mother, Linda Lackie; brother, Brad Lackie; stepbrother, Robert Weatherwax; sons, Justin and Andrew Lackie; daughter Sandra Lackie; daughter in-law, Katherine James Lackie; Nephews, Branden and Travis Lackie.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Lackie and his nephew Chad Lackie.
The services will be held on Saturday February 27th at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Memorial Park and Cemetery located at 22601 Lassen St. Chatsworth CA. 91311.
