Thomas Goodman

Reverend Thomas Allan Goodman of Simi Valley, California passed away on September 9th, 2022.
Viewing will be held at Reardon Mortuary in Simi Valley, at 11am on October 4th, followed by a service at Simi Second Baptist Church at 2pm. Reception will be at Reardon immediately after the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites funeral attendees to bring their favorite side dish or dessert to share after the funeral service in a celebration meal of Tom’s life.
Thomas, known to friends and family as Tom, was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 1st, 1937, the only child to Irvin G. and P. Irene Goodman. He graduated in 1956 from Culver Military Academy in Indiana, and served for 8 years in the US Air Force as a missile tracker and a photographer.
Tom was a man of many interested and talents. He was a musician, a photographer, an ice skater, and a roller derby enthusiast, a square dancer, and a cat magnet.
Tom worked as a security guard for many years at the Thousand Oaks Mall and Ronald Regan Library. He also ran his own sound company, Goodsound Audio.
Tom was a man of God and had a heart to serve people. He graduated seminary in 2007 and was ordained on December 15th, 2012.
Tom is survived by his wife, Gay; sons, Fritz (Rose), Mike (Heather), Scott, and Glenn (Teshura); and three grandchildren, Emerson, Emily, and Alea.
A private burial for the immediate family will be held Wednesday, Oct 5th at Eternal Valley Cemetery.
