Richard Fidermutz

Richard Scott Fidermutz, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2021. To celebrate Richards life, friends and family may visit beginning at 5:00 pm on December 6, 2021, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, 2636 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley, CA 93065. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Church, 2380 Stow St, Simi Valley, CA 93063, with a reception being held immediately after the funeral at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home.
Richard was born on, June 12, 1964 in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Simi Valley, California at the age of one. He attended school in Simi Valley and was part of the graduating class of Simi Valley High School in 1982. Richard was a Son who he had a very close and loving relationship/bond with his Mom (Beverly Staples).
Richard was united in marriage to his best friend, soulmate and childhood sweet heart Katherine (Kittie) Todd-Fidermutz on April 21, 1984. They met at the age of 12 years old and have been together since they were 15. He was a kind, gentle, Husband, Father of 5 children and Papa of 14 grandchildren.
He was a Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Surgical Technician for many years. He loved his work and loved the medical field in all aspects of it.
Richard is survived by his wife Kittie, children Steven (and Bethany Fidermutz and 4 children), Michael (and Jessica Mills and 4 children), Brad (and Kerianne Fidermutz and 5 children), Jeff (and Karalynn Fidermutz and 1 child) and Katie Fidermutz (a total of 14 grandchildren) parents Beverly and Harold Staples, sister Brandy (Pat Downey) Staples, brother Jeremy (Ashley) Staples,His in-laws Lonnie and Kathie Todd and Sister-in-Laws Jeannie Todd, Pattie (Kyle) Bailey, Karie (Scott Jones) Todd. Many Nieces and Nephews.
Richard is preceded in death by his dad James David Fidermutz, Grandparents Art and Fern Fidermutz and George and Velma Whiteford, Elmer and Rebecca Kirksey and Nolan and Pearl Todd.
