Matthew Joseph Maier

Matthew Joseph Maier passed away at the age of 36 on September 2, 2022 following a motor vehicle accident in Westlake, CA. He was a charismatic loving father, son, brother, and friend to many.
Matthew was born on April 26, 1986 to Ann Marie David and Adolph Carl Maier in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He settled in Ventura County, California in which he called home.
Matthew’s greatest joy was becoming a loving and devoted father and creating beautiful memories with his four sons. He was passionate about the trades and worked hard through his apprenticeship and eventually became a skilled journeyman electrician.
Matthew is survived by his children Travis, Cruz, Davin, and Landon; parents Ann Marie (John) Campbell and Adolph (Christine) Maier; his siblings Shannon (Ivan Hannah), Daniel (Dr. Lisa) Maier, and Lisa Ann Maier; his grandparents, Adolph Sr. and Edith Maier; and is also survived by two nieces Isabella and Layla, nephew Ayden, his close friend Jesse Puckett and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He was also loved by departed grandparents Justin Joseph David and Rosemary Bervis.
Matthew is best remembered for his enormous heart. Though he left this world far too soon, his memory is carried on in all the hearts he touched.
