James Morgan

James Donald Morgan age 87, of Simi Valley, CA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 10, 2020.
James was born in Oakley, Illinois to John and Leona Morgan. He was one of 11 children and grew up on a farm in Illinois until they moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1947. He attended Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles where he met his future wife Laura.
After graduating high school in 1951, James began his career at Security National Bank. In 1953, he joined the Army and served during the Korean War. After his time in the service, he returned to work at Security National Bank where he enjoyed a long career in the banking industry and retired after 38 years.
In retirement, James enjoyed spending time with his family especially his 2 grandsons, traveling, reading, fishing and watching sports. He also enjoyed getting together with all of his brothers and sister and their families during the annual Morgan family reunion.
James was preceded in death by his son Frankie (age 7). He is survived by his wife of 63 years Laura; his 3 daughters: Vickie, Felicia (Robert), and Marina; his 2 grandsons: Kyle and Connor.
James was a devout Catholic who loved life and his family. He was a wonderful caring individual and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him.
