Helen White

February 28, 1932 — May 11, 2021

This is to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Helen Pauline White, on to her heavenly home.
She was born Feb 28th, 1932 in Buhl, Idaho to Paul & Vera Kearley. She grew up in southern Idaho in a
loving farming family with 4 siblings. She met and married the love of her life, her late husband, Jack
White, in 1955 and they were married 59 years. Helen & Jack resided in Idaho for a couple years, then to
Seattle, WA for 7 years and then on to Simi Valley for the last 57 years. They raised 5 children, whom
they loved dearly. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved
all her grandchildren and great grandchildren with a deep, deep love.
Helen was a beautiful Catholic Christian woman. She was very involved in St. Rose and then St. Peter
Claver church in Sim Valley for many years. Helen had a deep compassion and served the church and
those less fortunate until the day she died. Helen was a member of the Knights of Columbus Yaw Yaw
Sisterhood. She and Jack served as Eucharistic Ministers at St. Rose of Lima for 10 years. They were
active members of a group called Mission Circle that served and supported a mission in Equador. Helen
volunteered at St. Vincent of De Paul, Habitat for Humanity and many other organizations over her 89
years.
One of Helen’s great loves was camping. She and Jack loaded up the tent trailer and their 5 kids and
took them camping many times over the years. Those camping trips are some of the most precious
memories all her kids have while growing up. Eventually, as the years went by, Helen and Jack bought a
motorhome and traveled all over the United States. They also blessed their grandchildren with the gift
of many camping trips over the years. She loved to travel, see new places and meet new people.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Jack White, her parents, Paul and Vera Kearley, and her
brothers, Ed and Carroll Kearley. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Kearley, and her brother, Bill
Kearley. She is also survived by her children: Tom White and Kelly, Jim White, Angela Dixon and
husband Dale, Karen Bredesen and husband Jim and Doug White and wife Jennifer. Further, she is
survived by her grandchildren: Jeremy Dixon and wife Katie, Charity Simon and husband Brandon, Tyler
