Obituary for Daryl Todd Pauley

Daryl T. Pauley, passed away at the age of 61 at his home in Simi Valley, California on March 23rd 2020. He ultimately lost a long and difficult battle with Parkinson’s, but he never gave up the fight.
Daryl was born on a beautiful October 4th in 1958 to Wallace and Maryanne Pauley in Cincinnati Ohio where he grew up alongside his brother and sister’s. Daryl was the baby out of the four children to Maryanne and Wallace. At the age of just five, Daryl and his family made the move to California where he grew up and lived the remainder of his life. Together, they watched their family home being built in Simi Valley, CA where Daryl would spend many happy hours playing in the orchards, and eating his fill of oranges, around their family home.
Daryl graduated from Simi Valley High School and went on to marry his high school sweetheart Stacey Beeber. They were married for 38 years of the 42 years they were together. They had three beautiful children Mindy, Brandon and Mallory that were Daryl’s pride and joy.
Those that knew him, know how many passions he had and how hard it was to keep up with them all. Some of his favorite hobbies included wood working, gardening, fishing, and cooking of which was one of his biggest passions. He often showed his love with food by always trying to feed anyone his latest recipe. He used his passion for cooking and entered the local chili cook off competition multiple times. He even won first prize once for his chili recipe.
Daryl is survived by his Wife Stacey, his three children Mindy, Brandon and Mallory, his sister’s Sonia and Sharon, as well as his brother Doug. In addition to his 9 grandchildren, Victoria, Anastasia, Emma-Leigh, Alison, Paisley, Harper, Jackson, Olivia, and Holly.
Daryl is preceded in death by his mother Maryanne Pauley and his father, Wallace Pauley.

Dennis Molloy

In our sadness, we remember to rejoice in realizing that you are now free from your terrible illness that overwhelmed your physical body and entrapped you. You are free from the years of agony that you endured, while you maintained a great positive attitude for your family and friends.

Aunt Joni and I remember so well your 3 alarm chili. With every bite, I broke into a new sweat that could only be quenched with another beer. The beer was a case of Heineken that you gave me and I will never forget that special moment.

An old movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life” is about a man who is struggling and is helped by an angel in training. The reason I bring this up is that this angel stated whenever you hear a bell ring, an angel has gotten their wings. I think we hear the “dinner bell” ringing and we believe there’s a new angel in Heavens Kitchen.

With all our love,
Uncle Denny and Aunt Joni
